A look at the latest episode of WOW: Women of Wrestling:
-Randi Rah Rah/Coach Campanelli vs. Robbie Rocket/BK Rhythm-Continuing the theme of the unorthodox approach taken by Coach who's hogging the spotlight and taking the credit for everything, that works quite well here for this brief but energetic match. Surprisingly so as BK had been on a roll and Robbie was pulling off some victories so this turned into more build-up towards the heel turn which came at the expense of two that were hot coming in and showing this upcoming turn is the bigger priority.
-Siren the Voodoo Queen curses their opponents-A quick backstage bit mocking Chantilly Chella and Foxxy Fierce before the next match.
-Chantilly Chella/Foxxy Fierce vs. Chainsaw/Holidead-A solid bout built nicely around the idea of the heels being thick and tough to knock over while the high-flying faces keep them off balance but not being enough to take them down. It's not until Kandi Krush arrives to distract Siren and interfere in the match itself that they're able to overpower one of the monsters.
Post-match, she gets on the mic and challenges the trip to a match with Foxxy and Chantilly in the future, continuing their feud nicely by throwing more obstacles to her quest for revenge while adding a nice group of friends to even the odds.
-The Beast in-ring segment-Initially arriving with the intention of relinquishing the title due to the injuries she's sustained, The Beast being confronted by Jungle Grrrl to help her get back into ring-shape is a great move and makes the struggle more sympathetic with their background adding nicely to the whole experience.
-Vivian Rivera vs. Tormenta-A decent match that could've gone longer as they displayed far better chemistry than most of the roster, had some solid mat-work, and transitioned into the more traditional approach that played off the commentary about them being friends. For as big of a deal as they've been making her, Tormenta has been losing way too much for my liking and that's the case here against Vivian who has been made into a jobber-to-the-stars so if they were to get them back together for another round and fix things it might be a rather fun idea.
-Leia Makoa/Tiki Chamorro vs. Penelope Pink/Vickie Lynn McCoy-A fine way to play off the first of last week's backstage confrontations where The Fab Four mocked Tiki and Leia before leaving, the match was solid and worked nicely with the most amount of time to get things down. It's all about introducing the overpowering faction coming in so that meant the outcome was never in doubt but getting there was still fun stuff.
