A look at the latest episode of AEW Rampage:
-Jungle Boy vs. Ethan Page-Decent enough match designed more to get Jungle Boy over with some wine than anything else here although the whole aspect of The Firm controlling Hardy's contract is still there to see play out. I wish they would start to get some kind of pushback from Matt on this as it's getting a bit too one-sided and could use some advancement but I'm still enjoying this overall.
-Eddie Kingston and Ortiz confront each other -So this whole thing is incredibly rushed and not all that creative as it seems to come together arbitrarily with strange and unmotivated promos on Kingston before the faked attack on Julia somehow being the fuel to spark this. If that gets sorted out then maybe this breakup would make sense as there's little reason to suggest his behavior has changed much in the time they've been together without any provocation so this is a bit rushed and underwhelming.
-Darby Allin Speaks-A fiery and passionate spiel about challenging Buddy Matthews for Dynamite.
-Willie Mack vs. Brian Cage-They know each other and have wrestled plenty of times against each other (I personally love their Lucha Underground series for example) so this was going to be fun and hard-hitting quite easily. They work fast and have solid chemistry so it's a fun TV match to set Cage up for the upcoming match.
-The Vanity Sister vs. Jade Cargill/Leila Grey-This happened I suppose.
-Action Andretti vs. Daniel Garcia-A highly enjoyable and exciting match, propelled by Andretti playing a superb plucky face that he can overcome a lot of the impartial offense from Garcia who came off incredibly well here. The stipulations with the upcoming tag match with Jericho and Sammy is handled well and play into that story with Jericho continually getting his plans ruined so it's all rather fun stuff.
